Hola from Salento, the heart of Colombia’s coffee region. We have just returned from a trip to the local organic coffee farm and are enjoying our first real chilled out afternoon in a while. The adventure begins

After a full day’s travelling we have arrived at our first destination – Bogota, Colombia.

Having had limited sleep the night before and waking up at 4am to catch our first flight, we are both shattered. Day 1 has been fairly uneventful, other than it has quickly become clear that we best learn Spanish, fast. Language difficulties mixed with post flight exhaustion resulted in us being ripped off by our first taxi – rookie error. Hopefully no more of that thank you very much.
