Loaded potato skins

Every now and again we will make a rare trip to the big Sainsburys at Finchley Rd. This is going to sound extremely sad, but I’ll say it anyway – I love the big Sainsburys! Generally, we are restricted (by our laziness) to the Sainsburys Local and so the selection of ingredients is despairingly poor. No fancy cuts of meat here. You’re lucky if they haven’t run out of fresh veg by 6.30pm. And, for some unknown reason, they insist on only stocking golden yellow icing sugar! Maybe I’m the only one who finds that annoying? I’ve been thinking about babies recently.

Not in the context of having any of my own right now. I mean, obviously, obviously not right now. Lord, I can barely look after myself, let alone another helpless human being. No, what I mean is I’ve been thinking about the general concept of having a baby. And no, not the labour part, because frankly I’ve seen enough episodes of “One Born Every Minute” to understand I will NEVER, EVER want to think about THAT. No, I have been thinking about how irrevocably life changing having a baby will be.

I’ve eaten far too much over the last few days.
